Alex

Alex is a traditionally-trained ayahuasquero in the mestizo vegetalismo tradition of the upper Amazon. He spent 3 years living in the Peruvian Amazon as an apprentice to Maestro Don Alberto Torres Davila, studying Amazonian plant medicine shamanism, and facilitating ceremonies at a large ayahuasca retreat center. He has dieted over a dozen master plants and facilitated over 300 ceremonies over the last 10 years.

He is also a psychotherapist with over 20 years experience and specializes in trauma healing and the therapeutic use of psychedelics and plant medicines. He has guided thousands of people through their journeys with Ayahuasca plant medicine.

Bill has been a licensed psychotherapist (MFT) since 1994, after earning a graduate degree in foreign languages and Comparative Literature and then training to become an architect rather than an academic. After that, he returned to a prior interest in psychology with graduate training in Family Systems and a later orientation to Relational Psychoanalysis, but first he interned in a community-based clinic for the treatment of sexual abuse, which has remained the focus of his individual and group practice.

Coming to appreciate the role of the body in both holding and healing from the effects of sexual abuse and betrayal, Bill trained in somatic approaches such as Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and also became a psychedelic guide.. He has recently expanded his therapeutic work in more spiritual directions, including ‘past-life’ hypnotherapy (QHHT), another neurocognitive trauma treatment called Havening, SOMA Breathwork, and professional astrology, from which vantage he offers consultation to anyone interested in creatively exploring the evolving cycles of their cosmic identity (with a healthy blend of skepticism and empirical curiosity).

Patricia Algara is an Ayahuasca facilitator, shamanic counselor, a frame drummer, a landscape architect, a bee priestess, and a devotee of the plants rooted in earth-based practices. Patricia uses applied shamanic practices to help people connect with their inner guidance and gain empowerment to facilitate their healing and find balance in the places where their energy is blocked.

Patricia has been working with plant medicines for over a decade and has studied under different teachers. She provides a safe and supportive environment for spiritual growth, self-exploration, and healing from within. A bee tenderer and an apitherapist, she draws inspiration from the hive being, whose medicine, collaboration, artistry, and industriousness demonstrate that beauty, function, structure, and communication can and should coexist sweetly.
